From the project in Thailand 1

The conversations I had in Bangkok recently all seemed to point to the same theme: the need for organisations to adapt more quickly.

During my visit, we delivered monthly appraisal workshops for both Thai and Japanese teams of a company. Alongside the workshops, we spent time discussing how organisations can adapt more quickly, not only through systems and processes, but also through changes in culture and working attitudes.

These discussions reinforced something I encounter frequently in my work: changing a process is often much easier than changing behaviours, habits and mindsets. Yet sustainable transformation requires both.

These discussions reinforced the importance of focusing not only on systems and processes, but also on the behaviours and mindsets needed to make change sustainable.

And one final observation: it is currently one of the best seasons for fruit in Thailand, especially durian.
