The way organisations think about talent is changing.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Erika Iwai, Co-Founder of 株式会社ソレクティブ, about the rise of skills-based organisations and what that means for talent strategy, organisational design and workforce flexibility.
One theme we explored was that conversations around talent are gradually shifting from “Who should we hire?” to “What skills do we need, and what is the best way to access them?”
As business environments change more quickly, organisations need to think beyond traditional structures and employment models. Full-time employees, freelancers, contract professionals and other forms of talent each have a role to play in building organisational capability.
This is one of the reasons I am excited to be part of Sollective. We are working to help companies build more agile organisations while creating new opportunities for highly skilled professionals to contribute in ways that fit both business and individual needs.
Thank you again to Erika for the opportunity and the thoughtful discussion. Looking forward to continuing the conversation.
