TRAINING
Advisory services for organizational and HR measures at Southeast Asia Regional Headquarters in Singapore
ISSUES
Southeast Asia RHQ aimed to identify and develop highly capable national talents to assign national corporate management positions within Southeast Asia
To do this, the need for a common HR system within the region, design of a common training system, succession planning, and planned development of the next generation of talent had increased.
On the other hand, no national HR within the region could advance the above tasks, Japanese employees had different specialized areas (most management employees were in accounting and finance), and lack of experience in HR expertise and project management overseas.
OVERVIEW
We covered all themes of organizational and HR areas.
For the following themes, we formed a project and executed by each subsidiary:
Organization and talent assessment
Personnel system design (designed based on a common HR system)
Management training
Enhance HR functions and improve operations
Develop and operate succession and individual development plans
STEP
We provided advice for the design of the draft to the HR in RHQ.
The HR in RHQ prepared a draft and continued the review and advice multiple times.
We held a meeting with HR in each subsidiary on a weekly basis and supported explanation by HR in RHQ in both Japanese and English.
We also held a meeting with the president of each subsidiary on a monthly basis and explained and gain agreements in Japanese with proper understanding.
