Dear all,
I apologize for the short notice, but next Friday (November 29), Professor JJ. Ikegami of the Graduate School of Management at Waseda University and I will be holding a joint seminar on leadership and human resource management required in a global context.
(This seminar will be held only at Waseda University and will not be available online.)
Professor JJ. Ikegami will discuss alignment across various aspects of business, including corporate purpose, business strategy, organization, human resources, and management systems, as well as the leadership required in these areas. I will then build on his insights to discuss alignment from an organizational and human resources perspective, with a particular focus on “New Japanese-Style Human Resources Management,” a topic I have also covered in my book.
This is a topic that is not often covered in academic settings, yet it is a major management challenge globally in the post-COVID-19 era, as companies seek to maintain consistency from purpose and strategy to operations. I hope you will take this opportunity to gain valuable insights.
