
As I posted last week, I have worked on the “super important project”, and I just completed the one!
Guess what? 😶
I have designed ” new HR system for the Minami family” 😆
It sounds like I am joking but I am very serious.
So far, my wife and I talked with my kids that “you have to do this”, “you must not do this again”, etc., etc., …so many times but the result did not meet our expectations…
I discusses with my friends and some of them told me that why did’t I design the HR system for your family based on my knowledge and experience!
That rang a bell!! 🛎️
I explained my idea to my wife and finally she agreed with the idea…(a bit tough to conveice, though… 😓)
Then I interviewed with each kid and my wife such as “ideal image of our family (MVV)”, “expectation on kids and parents”, “current issues”, etc. (Surprisingly, answers from both the parents and kids were almost same!)
Base on the inpurs from the interviews, I designed the grading, appraisal, and compensation systems for my family. (I spent just 3 days to complete…but it was so tough… 😥)
It was simlar as what I designed to companies but it was more simplified and clearly defined. 📝
Today, I have explained the new system to all kids and my wife and received so many questions. lol
What I was surprosed was that the questions I received from my kids were similad as what I received from employees in my client companies!
Concern points are similar even though age and job are different!
So we will spend three months to grade my kids, then we will start operation of the new HR system from Apr. 2025.
We will pay monthly salary, summar bonus and new year bonus based on the appraisal results 💴
Appraisal system contains three types such as behavior, performance, and contribution with a detail of criteria and definition 📝
The grading stracture has six grades and each grade has its definition based on the expectation from the parents.
I intentionally designed the operation with a lot of feedback session from the parents to each kid so that we can have an official conversation between the pareents and each kid regarding her achievement, growth, progress as well as improvement points, and this will enable us to avoide lack of communication.
