Physical activity has played an important role in how I manage both energy and focus over the years.
Since 2015, I’ve been running marathons, and recently completed my 12th full marathon. Each one has shown me that consistency matters more than intensity, and that progress often comes from simply showing up, even on difficult days.
What started as a personal challenge has shaped how I think about work as well.
Physical activity brings clarity. It creates space to think, and it builds resilience in ways that are not always visible, but are deeply felt over time.
In a fast-paced and demanding work environment, this becomes even more relevant. Sustaining performance is not only about how we work, but also about how we recover.
On World Day for Physical Activity, it’s a good moment to reflect on what that looks like for each of us.
It does not have to be a marathon. It can be a walk, a run, yoga or any form of movement that you genuinely enjoy.
The important thing is to find something that feels right for you and keep at it. Over time, those small, consistent efforts quietly support both your wellbeing and your work.
